Pontiac Grand Am RadiatorsThe Pontiac Grand Am began life as one car, and ended it as a very different beast. In fact, it lost a lot of its early charm in some ways, but gained in others along the way. First produced in the early 70’s as a 6.5 or 7.4 liter V8 powered beast, the Grand Am ended its days as a neat and mid sized sedan, powered by engines of either 2.2 or 3.4 liters. This is not to say the later cars are lesser in stature, but they are very different in styling and characteristic.
The Grand Am was one of Pontiac’s most well-loved models, in many forms, and comes in numerous different body styles and trim specifications. This leads to a wide choice of models available, as many are still alive and well, and running on the roads to this day. Whether it’s an older two door or one of the last four door models, the choice and variety across 30 years of manufacture can only be imagined.
One of America’s favorite vehicles, the Grand Am will continue to exert a pull on the public, being a very useful, friendly and loved model, and one that is destined to become a legend in automotive history.
