Step 2: Lift and remove the rubber mat inside the interior door pull. Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (2).
Step 3: Pry and remove the small trim panel inside the interior door handle. Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screw (1).
Step 4: Pry and remove the small retaining pin near the latch of the interior door panel.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of retaining clips holds the door panel to the vehicle. You will hear these clips "pop" as they disengage.
Step 6: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the door handle cable from the back of the panel.
Step 7: Peel back the water shield. BE CAREFUL not to tear it!
You only need to peel back the water shield enough to expose the mirror's wiring harness connection.
Step 8: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 9: Loosen and remove the 10mm mounting bolts (3) that secure the mirror to the vehicle.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 10: You can now remove the side mirror.
Step 11: Mount the new side mirror by tightening the 10mm mounting bolts (3).
Step 12: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.
Step 13: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to re-engage the retaining clips and tighten the T30 screws!
