Step 2: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx bolts (10) that secure the tailgate panel to the vehicle.
Step 3: Disengage the locking rod retaining clips (2) to separate the tailgate handle from the locking mechanism.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 10mm mounting bolts (2) that hold the handle in place.
Step 5: You can now remove the tailgate handle.
Step 6: Mount the new tailgate handle by tightening the 10mm mounting bolts (2).
Step 7: Re-engage the locking rod clips (2) to attach the rods to the new handle.
NOTE: The rod with the red designation attaches to the top of the handle.
Step 8: Tighten the T30 Torx bolts (10) to reattach the tailgate panel to the vehicle.
