How do you Change, Replace, or Install 2004-2012 Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 Axle Shift Actuator Replacement

Tools required:

Adjustable wrench (large)

Step 1: Approaching the actuator from the FRONT/UNDERSIDE of the vehicle, locate the actuator on the front axle.

Step 2: Disconnect the actuator's wiring harness.

Step 3: Using the large adjustable wrench, twist and remove the actuator from its position.

NOTE: Expect some oil leakage!

Step 4: Once you have removed the old actuator, slide the new component into place. Tighten it to secure its position.

Step 5: Connect the actuator's wiring harness (1).
