Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the clips that secure the tail light assembly to the vehicle.
You can simply pry them loose and pull them from the vehicle. They are exposed by the raising of the rear door and are right beside the tail light assembly.
Step 3: You can now pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle.
Step 4: Disconnect the tail light's wiring harness from the vehicle.
NOTE: If your tail light assembly comes with new bulbs, you can simply disconnect the wiring harnesses from the old assembly and connect them to the new one. However, if not, you will need to use the T25 Torx driver to remove the bulb casings from the old assembly and attach them to the new one. This will only take a few moments!
Step 5: Connect the wiring harness to the back of the new tail light assembly.
Step 6: Secure the new assembly into place by re-engaging the small retaining clips.
