Step 1: Remove the two retaining clips located on top of the headlight assembly.
You can pull up on the center of the clip, which disengages it. Once this is done, it can be removed.
Step 2: Remove the two Phillips screws that secure the wheel well protective liner to the front bumper cover. Pull the liner back to expose the back of the headlight assembly.
Step 3: Disconnect the wiring harness that connect to the back of the assembly.
Step 4: Locate and remove the two 10mm bolts using the socket/ratchet with extension.
These bolts are located inside the area, which may be a bit dark. A flashlight can come in handy here!
Step 5: From underneath the front end, remove the retaining clips that mount the front bumper cover to the undercarriage.
Step 6: Remove the front bumper cover.
Step 7: Remove the five 10mm retaining bolts that hold the headlight assembly in place.
These bolts are located around the perimeter of the headlight assembly.
Step 8: Pull the assembly from the vehicle.
Step 9: Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight assembly.
NOTE: If you ordered your new headlight assembly from Go-Part.com, it likely comes with new bulbs (as most of our models do). This allows you to save time by simply moving on to the installation process.
Step 10: Connect the wiring harnesses to the back of the new headlight assembly.
Step 11: Mount the new headlight assembly to the vehicle by tightening the five 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 12: Reattach the front bumper cover by reversing the removal process. Be sure that you don't forget any of the Phillips screws, clips, or bolts!
