Step 1: Using the 12mm wrench, disconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable.
Step 2: Pry and lift the power window control plate. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door handle.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door pull.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the door panel from the door frame.
A series of retaining clips secures the door panel to the frame. You will hear them “pop†as they disengage.
Step 6: LIFT the door panel to remove it. Disengage the retaining clip (1) that secures the locking rod to the back of the panel. Also, disconnect the wiring harness (1).
Step 7: To reattach the panel, insert the locking rod and secure it by re-engaging the retaining clip (1). Connect the wiring harness (1), as well. You can now slide the door panel over the “lip†by the window.
Step 8: With a firm strike near the retaining pins, you can “snap†them back into place.
Step 9: Tighten the Phillips screws (2).
Step 10: Connect the wiring harness to the power window control plate (1), and snap it back into place.
