Tools required:
10mm socket/ratchet
5/8 spark plug socket/ratchet with extension
Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.
Step 2: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolt that secures the ignition coil to the top of the valve cover.
Step 3: Disconnect the ignition coil's wiring harness (1).
Step 4: Lift and remove the ignition coil from the vehicle.
Step 5: Using the 5/8 spark plug socket/ratchet with extension, loosen and remove the spark plug (1).
NOTE:
Most spark plugs come already “gappedâ€. If you'd like to double check the gapping, use a gauge to gap them to .044.
Step 6: Insert the spark plug into the socket, and insert it into place. Tighten the spark plug FIRMLY, but don't OVERTIGHTEN!
Step 7: Insert the ignition coil into place, and secure it by tightening the 10mm bolt (1).
Step 8: Connect the ignition coil's wiring harness (1).
Step 9: Repeat this process for the remaining spark plugs.
