Step 2: Pry and remove the interior door pull's trim panel/bezel. Loosen and remove the T25 Torx screws (2).
Step 3: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and separate the interior door panel from the door frame.
A series of retaining clips secures the panel to the door frame. By sliding the tool between the panel and the frame, and working your way around the outer edge of the panel, you'll feel each retaining clip. When you do, pry outward. It should “pop†as it disengages.
Step 4: LIFT and remove the interior door panel from the door frame.
Step 5: Disengage the retaining clips (2) that secure the locking cable to the back of the door panel. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).
Step 6: The panel should now be completely free of the vehicle.
Step 7: Loosen and remove the T25 Torx screws (3) that secure the interior door handle to the door panel.
These screws are accessible from the BACK of the panel.
Step 8: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry the retaining tabs (3) WHILE pull the handle through the BACK of the interior door handle.
Step 9: You can now remove the interior door handle.
Step 10: To install the new interior door handle, pull the handle OUT a bit, then SNAP it into place through the BACK of the interior door panel.
Step 11: Secure the handle by tightening the T25 screws (3).
Step 12: To reattach the door panel, re-engage the retaining clips (2) to secure the locking cable to the back of the panel. Connect the wiring harness (1).
Step 13: Slide the panel OVER the locking lever, and with a FIRM, but not too firm, strike near each retaining clip, you can “snap†them back into place.
Step 14: Tighten the T25 Torx screws (2).
Step 15: Reattach the interior door pull's trim panel/bezel.
