2003-2011 Saab 9-3 Side Mirror Replacement Instructions, Install, Change (2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010)

Tools required:

10mm socket/ratchet

T30 Torx Bit/ratchet with extension

Flathead screwdriver (small)

Door Panel Clip Tool (or putty knife)

Step 1: Remove the battery cover, and disengage the negative battery cable using the 10mm socket/ratchet.

Step 2: Open the vehicle's door.

Step 3: Pry and remove the interior door pull panel.

Step 4: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (2) exposed by removing the door pull.

Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.

There is a series of retaining clips that hold the panel to the door frame. You will hear them â€œpopâ€ as they disengage.

Step 6: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.

Step 7: Disconnect the door latch cable and the wiring harnesses (3) from the back of the interior door panel.

Step 8: Pry and remove the trim panel that covers the trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting point.

Step 9: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (3) that secure the mirror to the vehicle.

NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing these screws, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!

Step 10: Disconnect the mirror's wiring harness.

Step 11: Mount the new side mirror by tightening the T30 Torx screws (3).

Step 12: Connect the side mirror's wiring harness.

Step 13: Reattach the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.

Step 14: Reattach the interior door panel.

Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to reconnect all wiring harnesses, tighten the T30 screws (2), and reattach any trim panels we removed!
