Step 2: Using the 10mm socket/ratchet, disconnect the negative battery cable.
Step 3: Pry and remove the trim panel on the interior door pull.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (2) exposed by removing the trim in Step 3.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and separate the interior door panel from the door frame.
A series of retaining clips secures the door panel to the frame. By working your way around the outer edge of the panel, you will feel each clip. When you do, pry outward – each should “pop†as it disengages.
Step 6: You can now LIFT and remove the interior door panel.
Step 7: Disengage the locking cable from the back of the interior door panel.
You will have to pull the interior door handle OUT to the “OPEN†position, and LIFT the locking rod from the assembly.
Step 8: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 9: The panel should be free from the vehicle.
Step 10: To reattach the panel, reconnect the wiring harnesses (2) and re-engage the locking rod to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 11: Lift the panel OVER the locking lever, and slide it into position on the door frame.
Using a FIRM, but not too firm, strike near each retaining clip, you can “snap†them back into place.
Step 12: Tighten the T30 Torx screws (2).
Step 13: Reattach the trim panel onto the interior door pull.
