Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the battery cover. Disengage the positive battery terminal.
Step 3: Remove the 6 retaining clips that line the top of the grille area.
Step 4: Remove the 3 bolts that line each wheel well. Also remove the bolts that line the underside of the front bumper cover.
Step 5: You can now remove the front bumper cover.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harnesses attached to the bumper cover.
Step 7: Disengage the hoses attached to the bumper cover, as well.
The clips are easily depressed, but be prepared for a bit of water leakage!
Step 8: Loosen and remove the 3 retaining bolts that hold the headlight assembly in place.
Step 9: Disconnect the wiring harness on the back of the headlight assembly.
Step 10: You can now pull the headlight assembly from the vehicle.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight from Go-Part.com, it likely includes new bulbs, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply transfer the bulbs and sockets to the new assembly. This process takes just a few moments!
Step 11: Connect the wiring harness to the new headlight assembly.
Step 12: Mount the headlight by tightening the 3 retaining bolts.
Use the guiding tabs to ensure proper placement of the headlight.
Step 13: Reconnect the wiring harnesses and hoses to the front bumper cover and reattach it to the vehicle.
Step 14: Reconnect the battery terminal.
NOTE: Using a Phillips screwdriver or Allen wrench, you can adjust the headlight. One screw will adjust the vertical alignment, while the other adjusts the horizontal alignment.
