10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, and 14mm wrenches or sockets
Step 1: Pry the colored outer panel from your existing side view mirror.
The replacement mirror will arrive with a black outer casing. To avoid painting, pry the outer panel from your existing side view mirror for use with your replacement (for a perfect color match).
Step 2: Remove the plastic panel on the interior side of the mirror mount.
Using the flathead screwdriver or a small, plastic prying tool, remove the interior panel to expose the mounting area for the mirror.
Step 3: Begin removing the 4 mounting screws that hold the mirror in place from the interior.
Each of these screws is unique in size, so have all of your various sockets or wrenches handy. Loosen them all first, and then fully remove them one by one.
NOTE: Throughout the removal process, be sure that you DO NOT drop the screws down into the door panel, otherwise, you'll be looking up our tutorial regarding how to remove a door panel!
Step 4: Unplug the electrical plug that powers the mirror.
Step 5: Remove the mirror from the door.
Step 6: Slide the bolt-stems of the new side mirror through the mounting holes.
Step 7: Begin replacing the screws/nuts to mount the mirror securely in place.
Step 8: Re-connect the electrical plug.
Step 9: Pop the interior panel firmly into place.
Step 10: Gently secure the exterior (colored) panel to your new side mirror.
