Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver/putty knife, pry the interior door handle's trim panel from the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harness.
We recommend using a thin towel with the putty knife to ensure that you don't scratch the panel.
Step 3: Using the flathead screwdriver/putty knife, remove the interior door lock knob. Also, remove the small trim panel behind the interior door pull.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 2 Phillips screws located behind the interior door pull.
Step 5: Pry the interior door panel from the door frame.
There is a serious of clips that line the outer edge of the interior door panel. Work your way around the panel and pull to disengage them.
Step 6: Disengage the clip that holds the wiring bundle to the door frame.
Step 7: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harnesses.
Step 8: Loosen and remove the three 10mm retaining bolts that hold the mirror to the vehicle's door.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the side mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 9: You can now remove the side mirror.
Step 10: Feed the side mirror's wiring through the opening in the door frame, and mount the new mirror by tightening the 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 11: Connect the mirror's wiring harnesses and attach the wiring bundle to the door frame using the retaining clip.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to tighten all mounting screws, connect all wiring harnesses, and replace all trim panels.
