NOTE: For this installation, we'll be working beneath the glove compartment, on the underside of the dashboard near the PASSENGER'S feet.
Step 1: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolts (2) that secure the trim panel to the underside of the dashboard on the PASSENGER'S side of the vehicle.
Step 2: Remove this panel.
To fully remove the panel, you will need to pry the wiring harness retaining clips from the panel. We'll reattach them later!
Step 3: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) from the underside of the fan speed resistor.
Step 4: Open the glove compartment and disengage the latch that holds it upright. Let the compartment swing downward, exposing the blower motor mounting area.
Step 5: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the lower, RIGHT-HAND side of the blower motor.
Step 6: Loosen and remove the 7/32 mounting bolts (2) that secure the speed resistor to the vehicle. You can now remove the fan speed resistor.
Step 7: Mount the new fan speed resistor by tightening the 7/32 mounting bolts (2).
Step 8: Connect the wiring harness (1) to the underside of the new fan speed resistor.
Step 9: Connect the wiring harness (1) RUNNING FROM the fan speed resistor to the blower motor.
Step 10: Re-engage the lever that holds the glove compartment in the upright position.
Step 11: Tighten the 7mm bolts (2) that secure the trim panel to the underside of the dashboard.
