Step 2: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (8) from the tailgate.
Step 3: Remove the T30 screws (2) that hold the tailgate access panel in place.
Step 4: Pry and release the locking rod retaining clips (2). Disengage the rods.
Step 5: Loosen and remove the 8mm mounting bolts (2).
Step 6: You can now remove the tailgate handle assembly.
Step 7: Attach the new tailgate handle by tightening the 8mm mounting bolts (2).
Step 8: Engage the locking rod retaining clips (2).
Step 9: Tighten the T30 screws (2) that hold the tailgate access panel in place.
Step 10: Tighten the T30 Torx screws (8) that run the length of the tailgate panel.
