Step 1: Using the 10mm wrench, disconnect the negative battery cable.
Step 2: Open the vehicle's door.
Step 3: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting point.
Step 4: Using the flathead screwdriver, gently pry and lift the window control switch-plate. Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the back.
Step 5: Pry and remove the small cover just below the interior door pull to expose a Phillips screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 6: Pry and remove the door light panel. Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the back.
Step 7: Pry and remove the small cover inside the interior door handle to expose a Phillips screw (1). Remove this screw.
Step 8: Pry and remove the small cover just below the side mirror's mounting point to expose a Phillips screw (1). Remove this screw.
Step 9: Depress the center of the retaining clips (2) near the door latch.
Step 10: You can now remove the interior door panel from the vehicle.
Use the clip tool (or putty knife) to pry the interior door panel away from the door frame.
Step 11: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 12: Loosen and remove the 10mm mounting bolts (3) that hold the mirror to the door.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the side mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 13: Feed the wiring through the opening in the door frame and secure the mirror by tightening the 10mm mounting bolts (3).
Step 14: Connect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 15: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to re-engage all of the retaining clips, tighten all of the screws, and connect the switch-plate and door light wiring harnesses.
