Step 2: Locate the air box assembly on the DRIVER'S side of the vehicle.
The air box is beside the fuse box.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the 8mm bolt (1) that secures the air box to the vehicle.
Step 4: Using the 8mm socket/ratchet, loosen the air hose clamp that secures the intake hose to the engine. Slide the hose from the ENGINE.
NOTE: Leave the hose attached to the air box!
Step 5: Lift and remove the retaining clip (1) that is attached to the air box assembly.
NOTE: There is a wiring harness attached to it, so it should be easy to spot!
Step 6: Lift the air box from its position to give you room to work BEHIND it, and disengage the retaining clips (2) that hold the air filter/hose attachment in place.
Step 7: You can now slide the air filter (1) from the BACK of the air box. Pull the filter from the air hose attachment.
Step 8: Slide the new air filter (1) onto the hose attachment, and slide it back into the air box.
NOTE: Be sure to re-engage the retaining clips (2) to secure the filter/hose to the air box.
Step 9: Move the air box back into position.
Step 10: Secure the air hose to the ENGINE by tightening the 8mm bolt/clamp (1).
Step 11: Slide the retaining clip (1) onto the interior side of the air box.
Step 12: Secure the air box's position by tightening the 8mm bolt (1).
