Step 2: Pry and remove the small trim panel near the side mirror's mounting area.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (2) beneath the interior door pull.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door handle.
Step 5: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (3) that line the outer edge of the interior door panel.
Step 6: You can now pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of retaining clips holds the interior door panel to the door frame. You will hear them “pop†as they disengage, allowing for removal of the door panel.
Step 7: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 8: Disengage the retaining clasp that holds the locking rod (1) to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 9: To reattach the door panel, reconnect the wiring harness (1) and re-engage the clip that secures the locking rod (1) to the back of the interior door handle.
Step 10: Slide the door panel OVER the locking lever, and down into place.
With a FIRM (but not too firm) strike near each retaining clip, you can re-engage them. You will hear them “snap†back into place.
Step 11: Tighten the Phillips screws (4).
Step 12: Tighten the 10mm bolts (2).
Step 13: Reattach the trim panel near the side mirror's mounting area.
