Step 2: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting area.
Step 3: GENTLY pry and remove the window control switch-plate. Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the plate's underside.
Step 4: Pry and remove the screw cover on the interior door pull, exposing a Phillips screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 5: Pry and remove the door panel light's lens cover. Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the back of the light.
Step 6: Pry and remove the screw cover inside the interior door handle, exposing a Phillips screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 7: Pry and remove the screw cover just beneath the side mirror mount, exposing a Phillips screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 8: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.
Step 9: Using the Phillips screwdriver, depress the center of the retaining pins (2) near the door latch. You can now pull these pins from the door panel.
Step 10: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of retaining clips holds the door panel to the frame. As you slide along the outer edge, you'll feel a clip. When you do, pry outward, and you will hear the “pop†of the clip releasing.
Step 11: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.
Step 12: To reattach the interior door panel, simply reverse the removal process.
Be sure to tighten all Phillips screws, re-engage all retaining clips, and reattach all of the bezels and trim panels. Also, be sure to reconnect the interior door light and window switch-plate wiring harnesses!
