Step 2: Loosen the 18mm tensioner bolt (1) to release the tension on the serpentine belt.
Step 3: You can now pull the serpentine belt from the vehicle.
Step 4: To install the new serpentine belt, be sure to use the diagram provided in your Mustang manual or posted beneath the hood to ensure proper routing. Route the belt around the outer pulleys, and up and OVER the water pump pulley.
Step 5: Tighten the 18mm tensioner bolt (1) to secure the belt's position.
The belt should be taut, but not stretched or overly tight!
