Step 2: Loosen and remove the hand-screw that holds the trunk liner in place behind the tail light.
Step 3: Pull the trunk liner back to expose the tail light's mounting area.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 2 thumb-screws that secure the tail light assembly to the vehicle.
Step 5: You can now pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the tail light assembly.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement tail light from Go-Part.com, it likely includes new bulbs, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not include bulbs, simply turn the sockets counter-clockwise, remove them, and attach them to the new tail light. This process only takes a few moments! The harness may need to be transferred, as well.
Step 7: Connect the wiring harness to the back of the new tail light assembly.
Step 8: Insert the tail light into place, and secure it by tightening the 2 hand-screws.
Step 9: Cover the area with the trunk liner, and secure it by tightening the hand-screw.
