Step 1: Loosen and remove the T27 Torx screws (2) located just below the interior door pull.
Step 2: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2) located inside the interior door handle and near the side mirror mount.
Step 3: Pry and remove the interior door handle bezel. Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the back of the panel.
Step 4: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife) to pry the interior door panel way from the frame.
A series of clips hold the panel to the door frame. You will hear them “pop†as they disengage.
Step 5: You can now remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 6: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (3) to remove the metal mounting plate.
Step 7: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door pull (on the door panel). Remove the interior door pull cup.
Step 8: Push the window control switch-panel through the EXTERIOR of the interior door panel.
NOTE: This will take some maneuvering, as the panel is in there pretty tight!
Step 9: Disengage the retaining tabs to pry and remove the power window switch from the switch-panel.
Step 10: Attach the new power window switch by “snapping†it into place.
Step 11: Reattach the window control switch-panel to the interior door panel.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door pull cup by tightening the Phillips screw (1).
Step 13: Reattach the mounting bracket (to the back of the interior door panel) by tightening the Phillips screws (3).
Step 14: Reconnect the wiring harnesses.
Step 15: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to tighten all screws and snap all retaining clips back into place!
