Step 2: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (8) that hold the interior door panel in place.
(2) are located behind the interior door pull, (2) are located near the door hinge, (2) are located along the bottom edge of the door panel, and (2) are located near the door latch.
Step 3: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of retaining clips hold the interior door panel to the door frame. You will hear these clips “pop†as they disengage.
Step 4: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.
Step 5: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (4) from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 6: GENTLY pry and remove the power window control switch.
Plastic retaining clips hold the switch in place. BE CAREFUL not to break these clips while prying the switch from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 7: “Snap†the new power window switch into place.
Step 8: Connect the wiring harnesses (4) to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 9: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to re-engage the retaining clips and tighten the Phillips screws (8).
