Step 1: Begin removing the interior door panel by loosening and removing the 2 Phillips screws and 2 T27 Torx screws that secure the panel in place.
You can find these screws near the interior door handle, on the interior trim panel near the mirror mount, and below the power window control panel.
Step 2: Remove the interior door handle panel, and disengage the wiring harness on the back of the mechanism.
Step 3: Using the putty knife and a towel (to avoid scratching the panel), pry the interior panel from the door frame and gently remove from the door.
Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harnesses that are attached to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 5: Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the mirror.
Step 6: Remove the 10mm retaining bolts that hold your side mirror in place.
NOTE: Be sure to hold the mirror while removing the bolts, as you don't want it to shatter on the floor!
Step 7: Remove the side mirror.
Step 8: Attach the new side mirror by tightening the 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 9: Connect the wiring harness to the new mirror.
Step 10: Reconnect the wiring harnesses to the interior door panel.
Step 11: By reversing the removal process, reattach the interior door panel.
