2000-2005 Buick LeSabre Hood Support Strut Replacement Instructions, Install, Change (2001 2002 2003 2004)

Tools required:

Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Open the hood, and support it to keep it upright while replacing the hood struts.

NOTE: We recommend replacing BOTH hood struts, as once one fails, the other usually isn't far behind!

Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the clip that secures the hood strut to the hood.

Step 3: You can now separate the hood strut from the mount position on the hood.

Step 4: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the clip that secures the hood strut to the vehicle.

Step 5: You can now separate the hood strut from the mount position on the vehicle.

Step 6: â€œSnapâ€ each end of the hood strut into the mounting mechanism.

Make sure that the strut is solidly in place at both ends before removing the support!

Step 6: Repeat this process for the other side.
