Step 2: Locate the air box assembly on the DRIVER'S side of the vehicle, just behind the headlight assembly.
Step 3: Using the flathead screwdriver, loosen the air hose's clamp (1) and slide it from the air box assembly.
Step 4: Disengage the retaining clips (2) that secure the air box cover to the assembly.
Step 5: You can now pull the air filter (1) from the vehicle.
NOTE: We recommend cleaning out the air box, as there is likely plenty of dirt, grime, and debris inside the assembly. This means that your air filter has been doing its job!
Step 6: Insert the new air filter (1) into the air box.
Use the mounting tabs to ensure proper placement. There shouldn't be any “play†in the filter's position when installed correctly.
Step 7: Reattach the air box cover by re-engaging the retaining clips (2).
Step 8: Secure the hose to the air box by sliding in onto the spout, and tightening the flathead clamp (1).
