Step 1: Remove the protective panel that covers the blower motor area. It is located beneath the glove compartment on the passenger's side of the vehicle.
Using the needle-nose pliers, disengage the retaining pin by simply pulling it out. Then, disengage the two retaining clips that hold the panel in place.
Step 2: Loosen and remove the two 5mm bolts that hold the wiring harness bracket in place.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the three T20 Torx screws that hold the blower motor in place.
To reach the one in the back, you'll need to use the ratchet/extension with the T20 bit.
Step 4: Pull the motor down from its position and disconnect the wiring harness on the back of the component.
Step 5: You can now completely remove the blower motor from the vehicle.
Step 6: Remove the small rubber boot (with the wrap-around tie) and attach it to the new blower motor unit.
Step 7: Connect the wiring harness to the new blower motor and slide the component into place.
NOTE: You may need to maneuver the blower motor a bit, as the wiring can make it difficult. However, by gently sliding the wiring out of the way, you should be able to get it in there easily.
Step 8: Mount the blower motor by tightening the three T20 Torx screws.
Step 9: Be sure to mount the rubber tube onto the small spout that is behind the blower motor.
You likely can't see it, but by feeling around, you'll feel it and be able to attach the hose.
Step 10: Tighten the 5mm bolts that hold the wiring harness mounting bracket in place.
Step 11: Reattach the protective panel by inserting the retaining pin and re-engaging the small clips.
