Step 2: Pry and remove the screw cover near the side mirror mount, exposing a Phillips screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door pull.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the T25 Torx screw (1) inside the interior door handle.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and separate the interior door panel from the door frame.
A series of retaining clips holds the door panel to the frame. As you pry out (near a clip), you will hear it “pop†as it disengages.
Step 6: You can now remove the interior door panel. Disengage the handle/lock locking rods (2) by disengaging the retaining clips. Also, disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the back of the door panel.
Step 7: To reattach the door panel, reconnect the wiring harnesses (2), and re-engage the retaining clips to reattach the locking rods (2).
Step 8: With a firm “pop†against the door panel near each clip, re-engage the retaining clips and reattach the interior door panel to the door frame.
Step 9: Tighten the T25 Torx screw (1) inside the interior door handle.
Step 10: Tighten the Phillips screw (1) inside the interior door pull.
Step 11: Tighten the Phillips screw (1) near the side mirror mount, and cover the screw with the screw cover plug.
