Step 2: Pry and lift the window control switch-plate. Disconnect the wiring harnesses attached to the underside of the switch-plate.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) located behind the interior door handle. Once completed, fully remove the trim panel/bezel.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolts (2) that are underneath the interior door pull.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.
By working your way along the outer edge of the interior door panel, disengage the clips that hold the panel to the door frame. With a firm pull on the clip tool, you can disengage the clips.
Step 6: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.
Step 7: Gently pry and remove the interior door handle assembly.
Pry out in the inner edge of the assembly and slide it AWAY from the hinge side of the door.
Step 8: Disengage the clips that attach the locking rods to the back of the door handle assembly.
Step 9: Attach the rods (using the retaining clips) to the new interior door handle assembly.
Step 10: Slide the door handle into place.
You will feel the assembly “snap†into position as you slide it toward the hinge side of the door.
Step 11: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to tighten the 7mm retaining bolts (2) and reattach all trim panels!
