Step 1: Disconnect the negative battery cable using the 8mm wrench.
Step 2: Open the vehicle's door.
Step 3: Pry and remove the small trim panel beneath the interior door pull. Remove the Phillips screws (2) behind the trim panel.
Step 4: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting area. Disconnect the speaker's wiring harness, if necessary.
Step 5: Pry and remove the small door reflector. Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) behind the reflector.
Step 6: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of clips hold the interior door panel to the door frame. You will feel them "pop" as they disengage.
Step 7: You can now remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 8: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 9: Remove the insulation from the mirror's mounting area. Remove the 10mm mounting bolts (3).
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 10: Mount the new side mirror by tightening the 10mm bolts (3).
Step 11: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to reconnect all wiring harnesses, tighten the Phillips screws, and reattach any trim panels we removed!
