Step 2: Lift and remove the trim panel that spans the width of the trunk (near the trunk latch).
You will feel the retaining pins release.
Step 3: Twist and remove the retaining pin (1) that holds the trim panel in place (covering the tail light mount).
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 11mm mounting bolts (3).
Step 5: Disconnect the tail light's wiring harness.
Step 6: You can now remove the tail light assembly.
Step 7: Feed the new assembly's wiring harness through the opening in the vehicle's frame and mount the tail light by tightening the 11mm mounting bolts (3).
Use the guiding tabs on the tail light assembly to ensure proper placement and installation.
Step 8: Connect the tail light's wiring harness.
Step 9: Reattach the trunk liner by tightening the retaining pin.
Step 10: Reattach the trunk's trim panel.
