1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra Rear Door Panel (Interior) Replacement Instructions, Install, Change (2000 2001)

Tools required:

7mm socket/ratchet with extension

Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Open the vehicle's rear door.

Step 2: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door pull.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) in the bottom corner of the panel (on the HINGE side).

Step 4: Pry and remove the door lock bezel.

Step 5: Pry and remove the power window switch. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).

Step 6: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 7: Pry and remove the courtesy light lens. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).

Step 8: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.

Step 9: To reattach the panel, feed the harnesses through their respective openings in the panel, and slide the panel ONTO the door frame.

NOTE: Remember to use the guiding tabs (2) at the bottom of the panel to ensure proper placement!

Step 10: Tighten the 7mm bolts (2).

Step 12: Reattach the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 13: Connect the courtesy light's wiring harness (1), and snap the lens into place.

Step 14: Reattach the door lock bezel. Connect the power window switch's wiring harness (1) and â€œsnapâ€ it back into place.
