How do you Change, Replace, or Install 1998-2007 Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable Air Filter Replacement

Tools required:

None

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Locate the air box, just behind the vehicle's battery.

Step 3: Disengage the retaining clips (2) that secure the air box cover to the assembly.

Step 4: Lift and remove the air filter (1).

Step 5: Insert the new filter into the air box assembly.

Step 6: Re-engage the retaining clips (2) to secure the air box cover.

NOTE: Use the guiding tabs on the bottom of the air box cover to ensure proper reattachment.
