Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the trim panel on the interior door pull.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2) exposed by removing the trim panel in Step 2.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the T20 Torx screws (3) that line the bottom edge of the interior door panel.
Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel from the frame.
A series of retaining pins that secures the door panel to the door frame. You will hear them “pop†as they disengage.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (5) from the back of the interior door panel. Disengage the locking rod (1) from the back of the interior door handle.
Step 7: The door panel should now be completely free from the vehicle.
Step 8: To reattach the door panel, simply reverse the removal process.
Move the panel into position, reconnect the wiring harnesses and locking rod, then begin mounting the panel. With a FIRM (but not too firm) strike near each retaining pin, you should hear it “snap†into place. You can then tighten the Phillips screws (2) and T20 Torx screws (3). Reattach the interior door pull's trim panel to finalize installation.
