Step 1: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry up and remove the switch-plate located on the interior door's armrest. Disconnect the wiring harnesses.
Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the trim panel that is inside the interior door handle.
Step 3: Remove the two 10mm retaining screws that hold the interior door panel in place.
One is located beneath the interior door panel's armrest, and the other is located in the opening created by removing the switch-plate.
Step 4: Remove the interior door panel.
Gently remove the door panel by pulling your way along its outer edge.
Step 5: Gently pull back the plastic water shield. You DO NOT need to completely remove it - just pull it back enough to expose the mirror's wiring harness.
NOTE: Be careful not to tear it!
Step 6: Disconnect the mirror's wiring harness.
You may have to disengage the clip that holds it to the door frame before disconnecting it.
Step 7: Remove the three 10mm bolts that secure the side mirror to the door.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror as you are removing the final bolt, as you don't want to be cleaning broken glass up from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 8: Feed the wiring harness through opening and into the door, and begin mounting the side mirror to the door by tightening the three 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 9: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.
Step 10: Reattach the plastic water shield.
Step 11: Reattach the interior door panel and tighten the two 10mm retaining bolts to secure it.
Step 12: Reattach the switch-panel's wiring harness and snap the panel back into place.
Step 13: Reattach the trim panel inside of the interior door handle.
