1997-2005 Chevrolet Venture, Pontiac Montana Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement Instructions, Install, Change (1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004)

Tools required:

T30 Torx bit/ratchet

8mm socket/ratchet

Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Lift and remove the rubber gasket (1) that lines the wiper area.

Step 3: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the windshield wiper motor assembly.

Step 4: Loosen and remove the 8mm bolts (2) that secure the fluid hose to the assembly.

Step 5: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screw (1) on top of the wiper arm assembly.

Step 6: You can now pry and remove the panel that covers the motor.

Step 7: Loosen and remove the T30 Torx screws (3) that secure the wiper motor to the vehicle.

Step 8: You can now remove the wiper motor from the vehicle.

Step 9: Slide the new wiper motor into position, and secure it by tightening the T30 Torx screws (3).

NOTE: Use the guiding pins on the assembly to ensure proper placement!

Step 10: Tighten the T30 Torx screw (1) that secures the wiper arm/cover to the component.

Step 11: Tighten the 8mm bolts (2) that secure the hose/arm to the assembly.

Step 12: Connect the wiring harness (1) to the wiper motor.

Step 13: Reattach the gasket that covers the wiper motor area.
