Step 1: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting point (interior).
Step 2: With the flathead screwdriver, remove the switch plate and disconnect the wiring harness beneath it.
Step 3: Remove the door light, and interior door handle panel, disconnecting any wiring harnesses along the way.
Step 4: Remove and disconnect the power mirror switch.
Step 5: Loosen the retaining screws and remove the interior door panel.
NOTE: If you have a manual mirror, you can simply loosen and remove the 11mm mounting bolts, remove the mirror, and tighten your new one into place. However, if you have a powered mirror, you must go to Step 6.
Step 6: Using the 8mm socket, remove the bolts that hold the door handle in place. Remove the interior door handle mechanism.
Step 7: Using the 6mm socket, remove the speaker and disconnect the wiring harness.
Step 8: Gently pull the water shield from the door frame. BE SURE not to tear it!
Step 9: Disconnect the wiring harness that powers your side mirror.
Step 10: Loosen the 11mm retaining bolts and remove them.
NOTE: Be sure to hold the mirror while you are removing the final bolt! You don't want to be cleaning up broken glass in your garage.
Step 11: You can now remove the mirror from the vehicle.
Step 12: Tighten the new mirror into place and connect the wiring harness.
Step 13: Reattach the water shield to the door frame.
Step 14: Reattach the interior door handle and tighten it into place.
Step 15: Reattach the interior door panel, making sure to connect all relevant wiring harnesses and tightening all of the retaining screws.
