1995-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier Front Door Panel (Interior, Manual Windows) Replacement Instructions, Install, Change (1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004)

Tools required:

Phillips screwdriver

Window Crank Removal Tool

Step 1: Open the vehicle's door.

Step 2: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) near the DOOR LATCH side of the panel.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (3) along the BOTTOM edge of the panel.

Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2) inside the interior door pull cup.

Step 5: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) near the side mirror mount. Remove the trim panel.

Step 6: Using the window crank removal tool, pry and remove the window crank lever.

Step 7: Starting near the side mirror mount, work your way around the outer edge of the door panel, pulling outward. You should hear the retaining clips â€œpopâ€ as they disengage.

Step 8: You can now LIFT and remove the interior door panel.

Step 9: To reattach the door panel, simply slide it into place on the door frame, and using a FIRM, but not too firm, strike near each retaining clip, â€œsnapâ€ them back into place.

Step 10: Reattach the trim panel near the side mirror mount. Tighten the Phillips screw (1).

Step 11: Tighten the Phillips screws (2) inside the interior door pull cup.

Step 12: Tighten the Phillips screws (4) along the bottom edge and latch edge of the panel.

Step 13: Reattach the manual window crank lever.
