Step 2: Pry and remove the trim panel near the side mirror mount.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolts (2) inside the interior door pull.
Step 4: Pry and lift the power window control plate. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (5) from the UNDERSIDE of the control plate.
Step 5: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.
Step 6: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel from the frame.
A series of retaining pins secures the door panel to the frame. As you slide the tool between the panel and frame, and then down the side, you'll feel each pin. When you do, simply pry outward – it should “pop†as it disengages. Go around the entire outer edge of the panel to disengage ALL of the clips.
Step 7: You can now LIFT and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the courtesy light's wiring harness (1).
Step 8: Pull any clips that may have stayed with the door frame free, and reattach them to the panel.
Step 9: LIFT and place the door onto the door frame. Using a FIRM (but not too firm) strike near each retaining clip, re-engage them. You should hear them “pop†as they re-engage.
Step 10: You can now begin securing the panel to the door.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to reconnect the wiring harnesses to the underside of the window control plate and reattach the plate. Tighten the 7mm bolts and Phillips screws. Also, be sure to reattach the interior door handle's bezel and side mirror trim panel!
