Step 2: Using the 11mm socket, remove the 2 bolts near the bottom of the radiator/washer reservoirs.
Step 3: Using the 10mm socket, remove the 2 bolts that mount the reservoirs to the outer edge of the engine compartment.
Step 4: Slide the reservoirs out of the way. These steps are designed to give you more room to work.
Step 5: Remove the small rubber collar and boot from the blower motor.
Simply slide the collar off of the component. The boot is attached.
Step 6: Using the 8mm socket with an extension, remove the 4 retaining bolts that hold the blower motor in place.
NOTE: When loosening the bolts, loosen them up, and then fully remove them using your hand. Dropping them down into the engine compartment can be a real pain!
Step 7: Disconnect the blower motor's wiring harness.
Step 8: You can now remove the blower motor from the vehicle.
NOTE: Some models may require transferring the motor's bladed wheel from the old component to the new one. This is a simple process that involves removing the retainer ring and bladed wheel, and attaching them to the new component.
Step 9: Insert the new blower motor and secure it by tightening the four 8mm retaining bolts. Don't forget the gasket!
Step 10: Attach the rubber collar and boot. Attach the boot to its respective nozzle.
Step 11: Connect the blower motor's wiring harness.
Step 12: Reattach the coolant and wiper fluid reservoirs.
