How do you Change, Replace, or Install 1994-2005 Chevrolet S10, Blazer, GMC S15, Jimmy Hood Latch Replacement

Tools required:

13mm socket/ratchet

Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Loosen and remove the 13mm bolts (2) that secure the hood latch mechanism to the vehicle.

Step 3: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry and disengage the retaining clip (1) that secures the latch cable to the latch assembly.

Step 4: Engage the retaining clip (1) to secure the latch cable to the new latch assembly.

Step 5: Mount the new hood latch assembly to the vehicle by tightening the 13mm bolts (2).
