Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) near the side mirror mounting area.
Step 4: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), slide between the door panel and the door frame. Work your way around the interior door panel's outer edge, and pull outward anytime you feel one of the retaining pins that secure the panel to the vehicle. This will release the retaining pin.
Step 5: Lift and remove the door panel from the door frame.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the back of the interior door panel.
Step 7: The door panel is now free from the vehicle.
NOTE: If any retaining clips stayed with the door frame (instead of the door panel), pry and remove them. You can then reattach them to the door panel before reattaching it!
Step 8: Connect the wiring harnesses (2) to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 9: Reattach the interior door panel by sliding it over the locking lever, and re-engaging the retaining pins.
To “re-engage†the clips, simple give a firm strike to the panel near each retaining pin. Be careful not to break it!
Step 10: Tighten the Phillips screws (3) and the 10mm bolt that secures the interior door handle.
