Step 2: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (8) that hold the tailgate panel in place. Lift and remove the panel that covers the tailgate handle assembly.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (2) that secure the tailgate handle to the vehicle.
Step 4: You can now pull the tailgate handle from the vehicle.
Step 5: Insert the new tailgate handle and secure it by tightening the 10mm retaining bolts (2).
Step 6: Reattach the tailgate panel, and tighten the Phillips screws (8) to complete the project.
