Step 2: Remove the 6 Phillips screws that line the top of the truck's grille. You can now remove the grille from the vehicle.
Step 3: Remove the turn signal/parking light.
Loosen and remove the 11mm retaining bolt that holds the parking light assembly in place.
Step 4: Pull the parking light from its position, and turn the bulb socket counter-clockwise to remove it from the assembly.
There are retaining tabs that hold the parking light in place, so be sure that you don't break them during removal!
Step 5: Lift the 2 retaining tabs that hold the headlight assembly in place.
These tabs are disengaged by lifting them up. However, if you find that they are difficult to lift, use a 14mm wrench to grab onto the small finger tab for increased leverage.
Step 6: You can now pull the headlight from the vehicle.
Step 7: Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the back of the headlight assembly.
Lengthen or shorten the alignment rod on the back of the new headlight assembly until it matches the length of the alignment rod on the back of the old assembly. This ensures proper lighting alignment.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight from Go-part.com, it likely includes new bulbs and sockets, as many of our models do! However, in the event that your does not, simply turn and remove the bulbs and sockets, and install them in your new assembly.
Step 8: Connect the wiring harness to the back of the new headlight assembly and begin securing it to the vehicle.
The alignment rods should fit into their respective openings when inserting the new headlight assembly into place.
Step 9: Engage the retaining clips to fully secure the headlight assembly.
Step 10: Reattach the parking light/turn signal assembly by tightening the 11mm retaining bolt.
Step 11: Reattach the grille by tightening the 6 Phillips screws.
