Step 1: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.
Step 2: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.
You will have to pull out on the bezel, while prying it with the flathead screwdriver.
Step 3: Pry and remove the small plug/panels (4) that cover screws.
Two are located near the door hinge, one beneath the upper area of the interior door pull, and one near the end of the window control panel.
Step 4: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the retaining screws (5) that secure the interior door panel to the door frame.
Step 5: Depress the center of the retaining pins (2) and pull them from the interior door panel.
These retaining pins are near the door latch, on the interior door panel.
Step 6: You can now pull the interior door panel from the door frame.
There are small retaining clips that mount the interior door panel to the door. You will hear them disengage and "snap" as you pull the interior door frame from the vehicle.
Step 7: Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the back of the interior door panel.
Step 8: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (3) that hold the interior door handle to the door frame.
Step 9: Using the flathead screwdriver, disengage the clips that hold the locking rods (2) to the interior door handle.
Step 10: You can now remove the interior door handle.
Step 11: Mount the new interior door handle by re-engaging the locking rods and tightening the 10mm bolts (3).
NOTE: The rod that mounts closest to the door handle (upper rod) should be connected to the upper attaching point.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door panel.
Be sure to connect all wiring harnesses, re-engage the two Phillips plugs, and tighten the Phillips screws. Also, don't forget to cover the screws with the small plug covers!
